Admission interview in Zwolle

If you pass the first round, you will be invited for an interview at the academy in Zwolle. During this interview you will show your work to a group of lecturers and students from the programme. They will ask about your motivation: why do you want to become an illustrator? What do you find interesting about the discipline? They will also be keen to hear your ideas about art, image and design. What matters most in this conversation is your creativity and how you can work imaginatively. 

Important dates and deadlines

First round of admission: 1 March, upload your portfolio by 14:00 on 14 February

Second round of admission: 1 April, upload your portfolio by 14:00 on 17 March

Third round of admission: 22 April, upload your portfolio by 14:00 on 7 April

• Visit the ArtEZ Finals to see work by graduating students.
• Immerse yourself in art and illustration. Visit exhibitions and explore magazines and websites such as Metropolis M, Kunstbeeld, Frame, DAMn and Dezeen.
