You will get to know all aspects of graphic design and learn techniques such as printmaking, photography, typography, visual media, spatial design, digital media, and wood and metalworking. You will work on your own research theme, go on a study trip, and take part in Studio Weeks, Summer Lab and Winter Lab. You may also take part in the Honours Lab.
You will build on Year 1 skills and explore questions such as: What does graphic design do for me? How can it impact society? You will again participate in Studio Weeks and Winter Lab, and go on an international study trip. Assignments focus on current social issues.
You will work on industry assignments and further develop your own design perspective. Through independent research and the choices you make, you will express and refine your creative identity. You will prepare for your fourth-year internship and have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad.
You will work on a personal graduation project that showcases your vision of design and society. You will complete an internship at an agency or organisation and conclude with a dissertation and a final presentation during the ArtEZ finals in Zwolle.
