Graphic Design - Bachelor - Zwolle

After graduation

Your degree

After four years of study, you will receive the Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Graphic Design. This programme is listed in the Dutch national register of programmes (RIO – Registratie Instellingen en Opleidingen) under code 39111.

Career opportunities

With your degree in hand, you'll be able work as an independent graphic designer or join a design studio. Graduates work in the Netherlands and abroad on a wide range of projects – from visual storytelling to spatial design, and from print to digital media. Graphic design is also increasingly used outside the creative sector, for example in innovation projects or societal initiatives.

Graduates of the programme have gone on to work at studios such as Silo in The Hague, Bureau Rust in Amsterdam, Circus Andersom in Amsterdam, Studio Boot in Den Bosch, Dana Dijkgraaf in Arnhem, Studio Another Day in Nijmegen, RTRN in Groningen, De Design Politie, Mijskenaar and The Beach in Amsterdam.

Further study

If you would like to continue your education after graduating from the bachelor’s programme in Graphic Design, you can progress to a master’s programme in the Netherlands or abroad – for example at the University of Reading or Yale University. You can also apply for the Master in Illustration Based Narrative at ArtEZ. For those interested in teaching, the two-year part-time Visual Arts & Design Teacher programme leads to a first-degree teaching qualification in regular education.
