After graduation

Your degree

After successfully completing the Graphic Design course, you may use the title Bachelor of Arts (BA). This course may be found in the Dutch Central Register of Courses in Higher Education (CROHO) under code 39111.

Career opportunities

With your degree in hand, you'll be able work as an independent graphic designer or join a design studio. Graduates work in the Netherlands and abroad on a wide range of projects—from visual storytelling to spatial design, print to digital media. Graphic design is also increasingly used outside the creative industries; for example, in innovation projects or when addressing social issues.

Graduates of the programme work at studios such as Silo (The Hague), Bureau Rust (Amsterdam), Circus Andersom (Amsterdam), Studio Boot (Den Bosch), Dana Dijkgraaf (Arnhem), Studio Another Day (Nijmegen), RTRN (Groningen), Bureau Rust, De Design Politie, Mijskenaar, and The Beach (Amsterdam).

Further study

If you would like to continue your education after graduating from the bachelor’s programme in Graphic Design, you can continue with a master’s programme in the Netherlands or abroad, such as Illustration Based Narrative at ArtEZ, or programmes at universities such as the University of Reading or Yale. For those interested in teaching, the two-year part-time Visual Arts & Design Teacher programme leads to a first-degree teaching qualification in regular education.
