After graduation

Your degree

After completing the programme, you will receive the Bachelor of Design diploma and be entitled to use the title Bachelor of Arts (BA). This programme is registered in the RIO (Register of Institutions and Programmes) under code 39111.

Career opportunities

After graduating, you will be an independent, critically minded designer who not only executes ideas, but also drives change and innovation. Alumni are recognised in the professional field for their independence, expertise and conceptual strength. Many graduates go on to take up exciting positions in the Netherlands and abroad; for example, at design studios such as Raw Color, Lesley Moore, 2x4 (New York), Bruce Mau (Toronto) and LAVA Beijing.  

Some ambitious and talented alumni are also invited by lecturers to take part in ArtEZ projects, helping them gain a foothold in professional practice.

Further study

Would you like to explore the field in more depth? You can continue at ArtEZ with the Werkplaats Typografie master’s programme, or elsewhere with programmes such as Type and Media (KABK, The Hague), Sandberg Institute (Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam) or Nonlinear Storytelling (KABK, The Hague).

Interested in teaching – perhaps even in our department? Then take the part-time accelerated Fine Art and Design in Education bachelor’s programme at ArtEZ. If you take this as a second bachelor’s degree, you will pay the favourable statutory tuition fee.
