The admission process consists of two rounds. In the first round, you will submit your portfolio and a motivation letter, among other things. Based on this, we will decide whether to invite you to the second round: the admission day in Zwolle. Below, you can read exactly what to submit, along with some useful tips.
For the first selection round, you will need to submit the following digitally:
- a completed questionnaire;
- your portfolio;
- one or more home assignments;
- a motivation letter.
Portfolio tips
- Show three-dimensional work, such as furniture, clothing or other objects. Do not include only drawings or paintings.
- Also be sure to include personal work, such as sketches and designs. We especially value work you have made on your own initiative.
- Show your process as well as your final results. What was the starting point for your idea? What worked, what did not?
- Practise observational drawing. You will work a lot with hand-drawn sketches during the programme. As preparation, try to make a spatial drawing from observation in your sketchbook every day.
- Make a well-considered selection of your work and present it in a clear and organised way.
