Throughout the programme, you will have space to make your own choices. This allows you to explore what inspires you and how you want to evolve as an artist educator. You yourself get to decide how to make use of that freedom.
Within the programme, you can choose additional courses that match your interests. These might include additional practical classes, theoretical courses or project-based work.

A minor allows you to explore a discipline outside your main programme. You can take a minor at ArtEZ or at another university of applied sciences or research university in the Netherlands. It gives you the opportunity to broaden your perspective and develop new skills.

If you are interested in doing part of your studies or internship abroad, you can do so through exchange programmes such as Erasmus+ or the NL Scholarship. At the academy itself, you will also meet international students who are on exchange at ArtEZ.

Research at ArtEZ is practice-based and connected to the world around us. You can work on a personal research question either within or outside your regular study schedule, join a professorship or take part in a large-scale research project. In doing so, you will develop new insights and have an impact with your work.
