You already have a bachelor’s degree and now want to continue studying to be able to work in education. Or you already hold a second-degree teaching qualification and want to teach in higher education. The programme in Fine Art and Design in Education (part-time accelerated) is especially designed for:
You are looking for a programme that builds on your experience – one that lets you work from your own artistic practice and learning goals. The programme gives you time and space to reflect on your role as both an artist and an educator. Thanks to exemptions, you can earn your first-degree teaching qualification in around two years – in a programme that fits alongside your current job.
You will follow a learning path that builds on your previous education. Based on an assessment, you may receive exemptions and put together a programme that suits your experience and learning goals. Your own art practice serves as the foundation. Your artistic work and research will be the starting point for your growth as an educator.
Study two days per week and complete the programme in around two years, successfully obtaining your ungraded-degree teaching qualification. You will then be allowed to teach in primary, secondary and higher education.
After graduating, you will be qualified to teach in primary and secondary education, in secondary vocational education (MBO) and at universities of applied sciences (HBO). You can also work in extracurricular arts education or as a self-employed professional.
