Admission day in Zwolle

To be admitted to the customised programme in Fine Art and Design in Education, you will take part in an assessment of approximately one hour. You will have an interview with a committee of at least two lecturers. You will also give a presentation.

The interview will cover the following topics:

• your motivation for applying to this programme;
• previous education, a presentation of the work you created during your previous arts education and in your own practice as an artist or designer, as well as any teaching experience you may have;
• your communication skills and ability to reflect;
• your starting point in relation to the curriculum of the Fine Art and Design in Education programme;
• the study load;
• the formal admission requirements;
• your study plan.

We recommend that you familiarise yourself thoroughly with the programme before the assessment. You can do this by attending an open day or information evening, or by contacting us directly. You can also gain a better understanding of the profession of an art and design educator by visiting a school or educational institution.

The outcome of the assessment may be that a longer study duration or a more intensive programme is necessary for you to meet the final competencies.
