For the first selection round, you will need to submit the following digitally:
- a completed questionnaire;
- your portfolio;
- one or more home assignments;
- a motivation letter.
You must upload these documents to the system two weeks in advance. Based on this, we will determine whether you are invited to the second round: the admission day.
What we look for in your application
- Your creative ability: Can you translate ideas into images? Do you have an eye for colour, shape and materials? Does your work show originality?
- Your motivation and communication: What drives you? What inspires you? Can you show and explain this clearly?
- Your thinking and research: Are you curious? Do you dare to experiment? Can you reflect critically on your work?
Portfolio tips
- Show three-dimensional work – such as furniture, clothing or other objects. Do not include only drawings or paintings.
- Also include work you have created independently. such as sketches, drawings or experiments you did outside of school. We especially value this kind of work.
- Show not only the final results, but also the process that led to them. What was the starting point for your idea? What worked and what did not?
- Practise drawing from observation – during the programme you will work a lot with hand-drawn sketches. Draw a spatial observation in your sketchbook every day.
- Select your best work and present it clearly and coherently.
- At our open days, you can have your portfolio reviewed and receive tips from lecturers and students before submitting it.
