Throughout the programme, you will have space to make your own choices. This allows you to explore what inspires you and how you want to develop as a designer. You decide how to make use of that freedom.
Within the programme, you can choose additional subjects that match your interests. These might include practical classes, theory-based subjects or project-based work.

A minor allows you to explore a subject outside your main programme. You can take a minor at ArtEZ or at another university or university of applied sciences in the Netherlands. It gives you the chance to broaden your perspective and develop new skills.

Are you interested in doing part of your studies or internship abroad? That is possible through exchange programmes such as Erasmus+ or the Holland Scholarship. You will also meet international students at the academy who are on exchange at ArtEZ.

Research at ArtEZ is practice-based and connected to the world around us. You can work on a personal research question either within or outside your regular study schedule, join a professorship or take part in a large-scale research project. In doing so, you will develop new insights and make an impact with your work.
