First round: Round 1 consists of a video assignment, which must be submitted no later than 18 January 2026. The results of round 1 will be announced on 12 February.
If you make it through, you’ll immediately receive an invitation for round 2: the live auditions in Arnhem.
Second round: The second and third audition rounds take place in person in Arnhem. Dates: Monday 30 March to Thursday 2 April 2026.
During the audition, we will assess your technical and physical skills:
We will also assess your artistic talent:
After the auditions, you will be notified straight away whether you have been admitted to the Dance Artist bachelor programme. The result applies only to the bachelor’s programme Dance Artist in Arnhem for the academic year directly following the audition.
If you wish to apply to a programme or specialisation at a different location, you must do this separately.
Once you’ve been admitted to the Dance Artist bachelor programme, we will ask you to undergo two screenings at the beginning of the academic year.
The Dance Medical Examination is conducted by sports doctors from Sports Medical Centre Papendal. This examination costs approximately 155 euros. You will receive a receipt for your payment. Some insurance providers may reimburse these costs.
The physio-screening is carried out by ArtEZ’s own physiotherapists. There are no costs for the physio-screening.
During the first three years of your programme, we will test you three times a year for your progress in strength, fitness and mental skills. This gives you insight into your physical and mental development.
Want to be well-prepared for your audition?
During the Open Day, you can already learn a great deal about the programme and the audition process. You can also take a preparatory programme. This is not a requirement to take part in the audition.
