Projects

During the project weeks, you will work continuously on a project. In addition to regular project weeks, there are exchanges focused on (interdisciplinary) collaboration, such as an ArtEZ-wide project and the exchange with the Comic and Illustration Design programmes. There are also travel weeks, usually to Berlin and Madrid, during which you create new work and connect with writing programmes or literary organisations across Europe.

Nieuwe Types

During the Arnhem literature festival Nieuwe Types, Creative Writing plays a major role. You will present your graduation project together with fellow students. You will also organise programme items and workshops. 

De Nieuwe Oost

The Creative Writing programme works closely with the De Nieuwe Oost production house. Students also organise events at the Theater aan de Rijn and contribute to programme items to the Wintertuinfestival in Nijmegen. 

Programme making 

Part of the programme is learning how to make programmes, which you will practise during your studies. You will develop and organise programme items for different festivals in the Netherlands (including non-literary festivals) and for the ArtEZ finals.
