During the first three years of study, there are four project weeks per year. Each week has its own theme: Society, Collaboration, Contemporary Music and Education.
- During Society Week, you will undertake a project with a socially engaged organisation such as KASKO.
- During Collaboration Week, you will attend workshops with students from other art programmes and work on a collaborative performance.
- During Contemporary Music Week, we explore questions such as "how do you approach contemporary music?" We do this in collaboration with the Andriessen Festival, organised by Phion and Orkest de Ereprijs.
- During Education Week, you will explore the many facets of music education. Pioneers of educational projects from all over the Netherlands will come to share their stories at ArtEZ Academy of Music.
Music & Health
Musicians are subject to high physical and mental demands, which is why ArtEZ pays close attention to healthy music-making. We do this mainly during our project days and weeks. You will have a series of lessons on healthy vocal use and learn to recognise and prevent work-related injuries.
