In the first year, you will be introduced to teaching through a short exploratory internship. You will visit institutions and observe how they approach teaching.
In your third year, you will use the pedagogical foundation you acquired in your second year to teach at a music school. You will conclude this internship with an internship report and a methodology portfolio. In the third year, you can also opt for an internship in the professional field.
A unique feature of the Classical Music programme in Zwolle is the work placement. Where you do this placement depends on your personal ambitions after graduation. You can opt for a performance-focused work placement with an ensemble, orchestra or choir, or perhaps seek a work placement focused on managing a music school, cultural centre, orchestra or festival organisation. If you opt for an Erasmus exchange, the internship will be cancelled. If you opt for an Erasmus exchange, your internship requirement will be fulfilled.
