For the first selection round, you will need to submit the following digitally:
- a completed questionnaire;
- your portfolio;
- six assignments.
Based on these, we will decide whether to invite you to the second round: the admission day. Submit these no later than one week before your chosen admission round.
What we look for in your application
- Creativity: We look at your ability to express yourself visually, to work based on observation and concept.
- Motivation: How good are your communication skills? Are you able to share your fascination and inspiration?
- Aesthetics: How do you understand form, colour and material and the individuality expressed by your work.
- Critically: Inquiring and experimental attitude, curiosity and a genuine interest in contemporary art practice.
Portfolio tips
- Show three-dimensional work, such as furniture, clothing or other objects. Do not limit your portfolio to drawings or paintings alone.
- Include work that you have created independently, such as sketches, drawings or experiments you did outside of school. We especially value this kind of work.
- Show not only the final results, but also the process that led to them. How did you develop your idea? What worked and what didn’t?
- Practise observational drawing. During the programme, you will work extensively with hand-drawn sketches. Draw a spatial observation in your sketchbook every day.
- Select your best work and present it clearly and coherently.
- Get early feedback – at our open days, you can have your portfolio reviewed and receive tips from lecturers and students.
