Programme per year
Labs & Studios
You begin in labs and studios. You play and create, working with image, light and sound, while exploring from the very start how to communicate your work to others. Each studio has a different focus: performance, text, form, or working with a group. You also collaborate with students from the other programmes. Every Monday, there is guidance and space to dive deeper into a subject of your choice.
Research Art Together (RAT)
As part of the three-year interdisciplinary programme RAT (Research Art Together), you conduct research together with students from the same year of the Music Education, Artist Educator in Theatre & Media, and Fine Art and Design Education programmes. You learn about art across different disciplines, forms and periods, and explore the connections between them.
During the main phase, you work on building blocks. Each building block places your work in a different context: education, teaching, immersive creation, and site-specific work at the location where your work will be presented. You enter the professional field and teach in the classroom, while also creating your own work in which theatre and media come together. Think projection, installation, or an immersive experience. If you want to pursue film further, you can choose the Artisteducator in Film minor.
Research Art Together (RAT)
You continue with this three-year programme, which you started in Year 1.
In your final year, you design your own building block. You choose the context in which you work, what you create, and what you investigate, and you document this in a graduation plan. In your final work, you combine different media. You present your research at a symposium and your work during finals.
