The admissions process consists of two rounds. The first round takes place over two days, and the second round takes one day. If you pass round one, you will be invited to the second round.
During the admissions process, we will be looking for an independent working attitude, engagement with current affairs, and an investigative mindset. We also value your ability to visualise ideas and reflect on your work. After your admission rounds, the admissions committee advises the ArtEZ Exam Committee on whether you will be admitted.
After the admission day, you will be informed within five working days whether you have been admitted. During the entrance exam, you will receive feedback from the admission committee.
An offer of admission applies only to the Artisteducator in Theatre & Media programme in Zwolle, and only for the academic year that directly follows the admissions process.
Auditioning can feel both exciting and nerve-wracking, but above all, it can be a lot of fun and a great learning experience. In the video below, we explain how it works, so that you know exactly what to expect the day of.
If you would like to prepare even more thoroughly, consider signing up for the preparatory programme days. We also have a collaboration with Theaterwerkplaats Zukunft at the Jeugdtheaterschool. From age 14, you can work on theatrical productions with ArtEZ students through Zukunft.
