Vision

Vision

During the Creative Writing  in Arnhem, you will learn to apply stylistic and literary skills, with the main focus being on the discovery of your own possibilities and talents.

Multiliteracy

Audiobooks, blogs and Twitter poetry: The way in which we create texts and preserve and disseminate them has changed substantially. There is now more interaction between text, multimedia and the stage as well as between fiction and non-fiction. This creates what has been coined as ‘multiliteracy’. Creative Writers are aware of these developments and can tell stories in various ways, with various media, and for an ever-changing audience.

Broad orientation towards modern authorship

By taking this course, you will develop into a well-rounded writer and editor, with an inquisitive attitude and the ability to use various literary genres, from prose, drama and poetry right up to documentary and literary non-fiction. You will learn to apply stylist devices such as pace, rhythm and perspective. You will also write texts in which you employ literary resources, such as suspense, point of view and different stylistic devices.
