What to expect during the open days
During the open days, all our locations in Arnhem, Enschede and Zwolle are open from 10:00 to 16:00. Each academy has its own programme you can join. Expect info sessions, workshops, and live performances.
Get the best out of your ArtEZ open day
- Be sure to bring along your own work or instrument. Some academies provide advice on auditions or compiling portfolios.
- Bring someone else along with you! A second opinion can be really useful. Friends or family members might have a very different view of our programmes and facilities from your own.
- Come to the open days with an open mind. You may have your sights set on a specific programme, but you could be inspired by another discipline altogether. An open day can alter your perspective. It’s okay to change your mind!
Study try-outs
You are excited about a programme and want to find out if it really fits you. That’s why we invite you to join one of our study try-outs or (online) information sessions.
During a study try-out, you join the regular classes for a day or part of a day. You get a feeling for the atmosphere, meet students and teachers, and learn more about the content of the programme. After a study try-out, you have a clear idea of the programme that interests you.
Another way to learn more about a programme is an online information session. In this session, you hear everything about the programme and the classes.

Tip: At ArtEZ Conservatorium in Arnhem and Zwolle you can also follow trial lessons.
The ArtEZ community
Attending an open day will give you a good sense of what ArtEZ students are like. You’ll discover whether ArtEZ is the place you’d like to call home as a student. Our students present many projects and exhibitions and even put on performances and concerts during the open day. It’s a great way to experience what it’s like to be part of the ArtEZ community. We want you to feel welcome and confident to be yourself. That's because we know that’s the key to unlocking your creativity.
