Michelle Ermens, who graduated from Art & Design Zwolle this summer, has won the audience award at the TENT Academy Awards 2018 with her animated film 'Drained'. Drained immerses the viewer into the psyche of a girl who struggles with mental illness. The film alternates between desperation and the search for a resolution. The other Academy Award winners are Praewa Brink Bulthaweenan and Natalia Papeava. Natalia Papaeva won the award for the best video art graduation project at a Dutch Art academy. Praewa Brink won the Best Foreign Film Award: the prize for the best video graduation project by a young artist from the guest country Great Britain.

TENT Academy Awards
The TENT Academy Awards, annually organised by TENT, the platform for contemporary art in Rotterdam, are a competition for graduation projects (videos, films, shorts and animations) by Dutch Art Institute students. The aim of the TENT Academy Awards is to provide talented young audiovisual artists with a platform and to help boost their profile.
