Masters kunsteducatie

Art can change the world – especially if you create it with, not just about people. Discover ArtEZ’ socially engaged and practice-based Master’s programmes and develop your skills, capacities and knowledge to enable sustainable social change

Socially engaged art – international or within formal education in the Netherlands

With the English international Masters Artist Educator you bring your own practice to and research to address pressing social concerns: migration, identity, conflict, environment and diversity. As ‘agent of change’ you enable sustainable social change in the Netherlands, Belgium and Northern Ireland, where you work together with communities on issues of local and international significance through socially engaged arts education.

With the two-year Dutch parttime Master’s Education in Arts, you (re)discover yourself as a professional and you take a fresh and critical look at the practice of art education and your position as an artisteducator. At the intersection of theory and practice, you will articulate your personal vision, enabling change as an educator, artist and researcher at the same time. This programme is fully accredited and recognised by the DUO teacher training grant.

Upon successful completion of one of these two Master’s courses, you are entitled to use the academic title Master of Education (MEd).
