Lotte van Dijk, second-year MA Fashion Design student, has been nominated for the fashion award at the International Festival de la Mode in Hyères. She is one of the final ten nominees. Lotte's collection is inspired by artists' depictions of textiles. At present, she mainly draws on the work of Marlene Dumas, who has a rough style of painting using thick brushes.

The International Festival de la Mode in Hyères, France, will be held this year from 27 April to 1 May inclusive. The Hyères award is a prestigious prize in the international fashion world and may be stepping stone to a glorious career. Viktor & Rolf, for example, won the award in 1993. And last year Liselore Frowijn won the festival award that was made available by Chloé.
