'Dare to be curious, ask questions and look beyond the boundaries of your own artistic discipline.'
About the teacher
I have been teaching at the Music in Education programme at ArtEZ Academy of Music since 2014. I teach Cultural History and Methods / Subject Didactics for Cultural and Artistic Education (CKV/KUA). I also supervise students throughout their final projects.
My expertise lies at the intersection of art, culture and education. With a background in visual arts education and a specialisation in film education, I enjoy looking beyond the boundaries of individual artistic disciplines.
In my classes, I believe it is important for students to explore, experiment and develop their own perspectives on arts and cultural education. I challenge them to look critically, make connections between different artistic disciplines and design creative, meaningful lessons.
For me, the connection between theory and educational practice is key. I want to give students more than just knowledge. Above all, I aim to inspire them to discover their own path as arts educators, guided by curiosity and creativity.
