About the teacher
'Since 2021, I have been working as a Music Production & Songwriting teacher at MediaMusic, where I teach within the Producer for Bands, Artists and Media (BAP) and Songwriting & Producer (SWP) programmes. I am also a member of the programme committee and provide Add-ons in voice-over, music production and On the Spot Sessions, among other areas, for students at Popacademie.
During my office hours, students can come to me for feedback and creative input on songwriting, production, arrangement, vocal production, lyrics, artist development and live performance. I also help students with workflow, concept development and translating productions into a suitable live setup.'

Lilian Hak is a producer, composer, songwriter, singer and vocal coach. She creates music for film, media, theatre, podcasts and artists, and also performs herself. As an artist, she has released five albums and toured theatres, festivals – including Noorderslag – and venues in the Netherlands and abroad, with performances on radio and television.
Lilian enjoys working across disciplines and has created productions in collaboration with Toneelgroep Oostpool, Melkweg/Paradiso Productiehuis and De Nieuwe Oost. As a songwriter, including through Massive/BMG Publishing, she has written songs, worked on co-writes and created music for commercials and media productions. In 2026, she was nominated for a Buma Music in Motion Award for the music for the documentary Mijn Noord (HUMAN/NPO).
With extensive experience as a director and recording engineer for voice-overs, including for the Rijksmuseum, she has also been working as a voice-over artist herself for many years. Her voice can regularly be heard on television and radio.
She graduated from HKU and has built up broad professional experience, ranging from live performances and studio recordings to songwriting, band projects, electronic music, media composition and artistic productions.
