About the teacher
I have taught extensively in pre-university education, but in recent years, through my work with Stichting Vocal Statements, I have also taught in secondary vocational education, at other conservatoires, in special secondary education and at several International Transition Classes (ISKs). Here, I explored a different approach to music education: working across disciplines, adapting to the target group and starting from the perspective of making.
A few years ago, I also carried out an arts-based research project into the high dropout rate among teachers. I am deeply interested in what makes good education and what role a teacher plays in this.
