Admission procedure: here’s what to expect

Step 1: Apply through Studielink

You first apply through Studielink. Depending on where you live and what stage of your studies you are in, you will need to submit some important documents, such as a copy of your passport and your bachelor's degree. Studielink will guide you through this step-by-step.

Step 2: Submit other, relevant documents

After applying via Studielink, we'll contact you and ask you to submit a motivation letter, your curriculum vitae, and links to videos of your work, website, or weblog, and photographs of your work.

Step 3: Audition

After submitting your application, we will carefully review your documents. Within two weeks after the application deadline, we'll inform you if you're invited for the online audition. During the audition, you will engage in an online cooperative working process with other applicants over the course of five days. You'll also have an individual interview via Teams and be given an individual assignment.

Step 4: Enrolment

Within two weeks after the last day of the audition, you will be informed about the outcome of the audition. If you are admitted, you will receive more information about how to enrol for the master’s course.

Additional costs

Please keep in mind that on top of your tuition fee, you will also have to cover travel costs to Arnhem and accommodation during the residential periods. There will also be extra costs for travel and accommodation during the international residencies, which are a compulsory part of the curriculum. These extra costs will be approximately €500 in the first year.

Scholarships

If you are a non-EU/EEA resident, there are two scholarships you can apply for: the ArtEZ Scholarship or the NL scholarship. Deadline for both scholarships is May 1st, so you need to be admitted before this deadline. Please contact the Student Affairs department for information about scholarships, residence permits, accommodation and any other related questions
