Admission

Do you want to be part of a new generation of artists by using your skills, capacities and knowledge to enable social change? Apply for the international Masters Artist Educator.

Admission procedure

  • First, you enrol via Studielink. You will be asked to submit the following documents:

    • a copy of your passport;
    • a copy of your bachelor diploma (preferably in English and with a list of credits);
    • a language certificate.

    After enrolment via Studielink, you will receive an e-mail regarding the further admission procedure. For Non EU-EEA students we recommend to apply for an early round of interviews due to residence permits.

  • Language requirements apply to all ArtEZ master studies. You will need to prove you language proficiency before the start of study by handing in a certificate stating your level of English before the 1 September. If you need a residence permit to study at ArtEZ, the delivery deadline of the language proficiency test is 1 June.

    For more information, please check the general language requirements for master courses.

  • Once enroled via Studielink, your diplomas (if already obtained on the moment of application) and documents will be verified. Meanwhile, we will ask you to submit the following entries:

    • your resume;
    • an artist statement, in which you make connections between your arts practice, interests and your motivation for studying iMAE;
    • a portfolio that gives a clear representation of your current practice.
  • Based on your admission entries we will decide if you will be invited for an interview. Within the interview we will focus on the content of your portfolio, your motivation, research interests and language skills. Furthermore we will be focusing on your attitude in regard to the core values of iMAE: empathy, care, trust and humility.
    Within two weeks after the interview you will be informed about the outcome of the admission process and be given further guidance for the enrolment.

    Please note: also with a positive outcome of the admission process, you can only start the program once you meet all the requirements.

  • If you are a non-EU/EEA resident, there are two scholarships you can apply for: the ArtEZ Scholarship and the Holland Scholarship. The deadline for both scholarships is May 1st. Please contact Student Affairs for information about scholarships, residence permits, and any other related questions.
