After graduation

Once you have graduated from the Jazz & Pop in Zwolle, you are a musician who can go in many directions. The course has a good reputation in the work field for the flexibility, knowledge and wide employability of the former students.

Title and diploma

After successfully completing the Jazz & Pop course in Arnhem, you are entitled to use the title of Bachelor of Music (BMus). This course can be found in the Dutch Central Register of Courses in Higher Education (CROHO) under code 34739. The formal name of the course, under which this study is known in CROHO, is Bachelor of Music. This CROHO name will appear on your diploma.

Starting work

In the music industry, you can work in many areas. This ranges from playing concerts on pop and jazz stages to making theatre productions. You are also able to make studio recordings of your own or other people's musical projects. You can also play in backing bands or lead them.

After graduation, you can play a leading role or coach or work well with others. You can also teach, be creative yourself or play an important role in the background. You have wide knowledge as well as a clear artistic identity.

You will find former students from the Jazz & Pop Zwolle course in various places. They are active as solo artists in pop or jazz, play in backing bands, have their own music school or have other work in the music industry. A few examples:

Further studies

The Jazz & Pop master follows up perfectly on the bachelor course. In this master programme, you can continue to specialise in the direction that most appeals to you. You can take the two-year Tailor-Made BA Music in Education for a first-level teaching qualification in mainstream education. If you choose Tailor-Made BA Music in Education as your second bachelor course, you pay the lower statutory tuition fee.
