Admission and Application

Admission requirements

Would you like to take part in the orientation class or Dance Preparatory Course? Then please take the following conditions into account:

• You go to year 7 or 8 of primary school or to the first year of secondary school
• You have to audition first and pass that audition
Are you over 12 years old and are you nevertheless keen to audition for the Dance Preparatory Course in Arnhem? Please contact Katja Hofman via 

k.hofman@artez.nl.

Application

You can apply online via ArtEZ Osiris. Here you first create an account (in the student's name, but with the email address of one of the parents/guardians). Under Application for Preliminary Dance Programme you see the general part and there you make the following choice:

• Will you be in primary school next school year? Then select "Dance Orientation in Arnhem"
• Are you going to secondary school next year? Then select "Dance Preparatory Course in Arnhem"
After your full registration you will receive confirmation at your parent's or guardian's email address

After that you will receive an invitation to the audition from our Educational Office.

 

Audition

During the audition we will assess your physical abilities, musicality, presentation and creativity (can you already show something of your individuality?). We also look at how open you are to improvement and learning something new.

After the audition you will be notified within a week whether you have been admitted. Admission only applies to the orientation class or Dance Preparatory Course and only for the school year immediately following the audition.

Schedule: 17:00-19:15
Location: ArtEZ Theatrium, Onderlangs 9 in Arnhem

Workshop day

This Workshop day is a great opportunity to get to know us. You will be taught classical dance, modern dance and folklore. After that, students of the Dance Preparatory Course give a presentation. The Workshop day is provided by teachers from the study programme.

Preparatory Workshop day

Due to the current situation, the workshop days cannot take place.

Fee for preparatory course and orientation class

Participation in the orientation class costs € 375 per school year.
Participation in the Dance Preparatory Course costs €1200 per school year. This amount may also be paid in ten instalments. Furthermore, you should allow for about €250 for your outfit.

For parents who are unable to bear the training costs, an allowance for travel costs is possible.

Jits enjoyed the orientation phase. He was given the opportunity to develop himself technically more than was possible at an amateur school and to become acquainted with the way of working in the preparatory course. His passion for dancing only grew during that period!
