At the heart of professional practice

The School of Acting has a good network and close partnerships with the professional field, which means you will be at the heart of professional practice whilst on the course.

Lecturers from the profession

You will be taught by experienced lecturers – actors, directors – in theatre and film.

Developing yourself

On the course, there is a focus on craft, research and reflection. Moreover, practising first, followed by integrating and then applying, helps you to become independent.

Interdisciplinary

You will be studying in an environment with students from all kinds of arts courses: from dance to writing and from fine art to music.

International exchange programme

Thanks to excellent links with partners including the Kunstuniversität in Graz, Austria, you can gain experience abroad; from two weeks to six months.

Good supervision

The small-scale nature of the course means you will receive intensive and personal supervision with your studies and your internship. A mentor will supervise you throughout the course.

Acting course for film, theatre or television 

At the ArtEZ School of Acting, you will be trained to become an independent actor for theatre, film and television. The focus is on the craft of acting and creating. There is also a strong focus on reflection, and on research into your own artistry. Even while on the acting course, you will be at the heart of professional practice. You will be taught by professional actors and directors and work with directors and creators from the field.  

After graduating from the school of acting in Arnhem, you may use the title Bachelor of Arts (BA) and you can work as an actor in theatre, film or television. You can also choose to continue your studies with a master.
