Painter Nancy de Graaf, who graduated this summer from AKI ArtEZ, is one of the six Buning Brongers Award winners. Earlier this year, Nancy won the Heartfund award. The other Buning Brongers award winners are: Anika Mariam Ahmed (Frank Mohr Institute), Jurre Blom (HKU University of the Arts Utrecht), Alex Crocker (De Ateliers), Noah Ryu (Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten [Royal Academy of visual arts] and Steffen Vogelezang (Gerrit Rietveld Academy).

Buning Brongers Award
The Buning Brongers Award is a two-yearly Dutch art award for young visual artists. It is the Netherlands' largest individual art award and has been presented to 144 artists since 1966. This time the jury comprised: Chris de Bueger, Koen Ebeling Koning, Rijnder Kamerbeek, Wendelien Schönfeld and Toon Verhoef.
A monetary prize of €4,500 is associated with the award. For the winners, an award presentation and exhibition has been organised in Arti et Amicitiae and a catalogue has been distributed. The exhibition runs from 3 to 18 December in Arti et Amicitiae in Amsterdam. The awards will be presented during the festive opening on Friday 2 December at 17:00.
