BEAR Fine Art

Curious about the BEAR Fine Art programme? During the open day, you'll get a clear impression of the programme. You can visit student studios, watch presentations, and receive useful information during a one-on-one conversation. You can also get advice on your portfolio.
 

Creative Writing

Have you always wanted to know what being a writer could mean for you? During the Creative Writing open day, you can attend various performances and take part in inspiring workshops.
 

Design Art Technology

Design Art Technology invites you to a special Open Day programme where you can experience what it’s like to study in our home for media art, creative technology and experimental design.
 
Discover the department through tours, exhibitions and presentations. Join one-on-one conversations with tutors and students, explore future career possibilities in our field and take part in activities for a chance to win a unique DAT-inspired prize.
 
With students, alumni and tutors from all years present, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get a real feel for the community!
 

Fine Art & Design in Education

During the open day, an ongoing programme is presented consisting of workshops, short lectures and presentations by alumni about their professional practice.
 

Fashion Design

Curious about what it's like to study Fashion Design? During the open day, you'll get a clear impression. For example, by viewing student work, attending classes, and asking questions to students and teachers. The bachelor's programme in Fashion Design also offers information sessions that require separate registration. Registration will open July, 2026.

Graphic Design

Various works from students from different years will be on display, giving you insight into their learning and development as graphic designers. There will also be fun workshops to participate in and information on preparing your portfolio for interview.
 

Product Design

Step into our Playground for Future Makers and explore the world of Product Design! Get inspired by the creative journey of our students. See how an idea grows from the first sketch into a finished product.
 
Join interactive workshops, try out the makers’ playground, and collect useful tips to prepare for your admission. You’ll also have the chance to meet students, alumni, and tutors, ask your questions, and experience the creative atmosphere of our design community.

 

Workshops

Workshops play an important role at ArtEZ. The workshops are run by technical instructors and workshop assistants. They guide students during the creation of their work. They think along in their creative process and contribute technical solutions.
 
In the Rietveld building, side wing and second floor, you will find the following workshops: Computer workshop, Photography studio, Fashion atelier, Paper Shop, Ceramics and Liquid plastics workshop, Graphics and (screen) Print workshop. The Photography workshop is located in the basement and can be accessed via the entrance to the underground Theatrium.
 
Oude Kraan 26 houses the Digital, Wood, Metal, Shoes & Leather workshops and the Central shop, Hard- and software Lab and Audiovisual workshop.

Are you coming to the open day with someone else? You are very welcome! Each prospective student may bring two accompanying person to the open day.
