Presentation Night: Band in Residence project week with Alsarah & The Nubatones

Wednesday 4 November 2026

19:00 tot 21:00

ArtEZ Concertzaal, Utrechtsestraat 85, Arnhem

Every November, the Band in Residence project week pushes our Jazz & Pop student bands to their creative limits.

For three intense days, a world-class international band mentors students to refine, arrange, and master two distinct tracks: first, an existing song from the residency lineup that students breathe new life into, and second, a brand-new original composition inspired by the band's musical universe.

Following in the footsteps of previous legends like Snarky Puppy and De Staat, we are thrilled to host Alsarah & The Nubatones this year!
Curated in collaboration with the prestigious Le Guess Who? Festival, this incredible East-African retro-pop collective—featuring Sarah Abunama Elgadi, Nahid Abunama Elgadi, Mawuena Kodjovi, Rami El Aasser, and Brandon Terzic—will be working hands-on with our students.

Come and witness the result!
Join us on Wednesday, November 4 for an unforgettable night of high-level collaboration, fresh arrangements, and powerful live music.

Admission is free (no reservations required).
