All programmes will host two information sessions, each followed by a short tour. You are also welcome to explore the Rietveld building on your own and ask questions to students, teachers and instructors. The detailed schedule will be published soon.

BEAR Fine Art

BEAR (Base for Experiment, Art and Research) is the bachelor fine art programme of ArtEZ Academy of Art & Design Arnhem. A place for experimentation at the heart of society, an international, dynamic community where everyone learns from one another.

Creative Writing (bachelor, Dutch)

Aspiring writers and storytellers who want to become professional authors will feel at home in the Creative Writing Bachelor in Arnhem. You’ll have the freedom to experiment with many directions: from writing novels to creating stories for Virtual Reality. You’ll discover what you want to develop, what makes your writing heart beat faster, and above all: what being a writer means to you.

Creative Writing (master, English) 

This unique two year programme is designed for talented writers with a bachelor’s degree, focusing on critical research, artistic experimentation, social engagement, and collaboration within the European literary field. This master is a collaboration between three leading European writing schools: ArtEZ University of the Arts (Arnhem, The Netherlands), Escuela de Escritores (Madrid, Spain) and Scuola Holden (Turin, Italy).

Design Art Technology

Design Art Technology in Arnhem prepares the artist of the future. In this four year bachelor programme, you’ll learn all about technology, sound, light, and media art, and develop your own design methodology. You’ll have plenty of room for personal experimentation, research, and artistic depth. You’ll study in an international community of students and lecturers, laying the foundation for a career as an autonomous designer or creative technologist.

Fine Art and Design in Education (full time, part time, part time accelerated, accelerated combined route)

Do you have a passion for drawing, photography, digital media, and design, and do you enjoy turning ideas into images? And would you like to share your passion and knowledge with others? Then discover the Fine Art and Design in Educations Bachelor in Arnhem.

Fashion Design

Want to explore fashion design from start to finish? From concept development and pattern drawing to textiles, techniques, collection building, and theory, ending with your own autonomous collection? Get to know the Fashion Design Bachelor in Arnhem, one of the leading fashion programmes in Europe.

Graphic Design

The internationally oriented Graphic Design Bachelor in Arnhem offers a learning environment where students develop creative skills and critical knowledge, contributing to new insights about, through and with graphic design.

Product Design

For imaginative adventurers, entrepreneurial makers, and ambitious inventors, there is the Product Design programme in Arnhem. This practice  and process oriented design bachelor prepares you to become an innovative product designer who creates products for the world of tomorrow.

Workshops

Workshops play an important role at ArtEZ. The workshops are run by technical instructors and workshop assistants. They guide students during the creation of their work. They think along in their creative process and contribute technical solutions. During the Open Day, you can visit (some of) these workshops.

Are you coming to the open day with someone else? You are very welcome! Each prospective student may bring two accompanying person to the open day.

Transport and Parking

From Arnhem Central Station, the Academy of Art & Design is about a 10 minute walk. You’ll find us at Onderlangs 9 in Arnhem.
Coming by car? Paid parking is available in several car parks, including Centraal and Rozet, and at the Oude Kraan/Blauwe Golven parking area. ArtEZ does not have its own parking facilities.

Not all of ArtEZ's historic buildings are (fully) wheelchair accessible. If you would like to visit one of the locations in a wheelchair, we recommend contacting the location in question or faz@artez.nl in advance.
