Big Band & Beyond Festival

For all big band music lovers, Saturday, January 31, 2026, Schouwburg Odeon in Zwolle is the place to be! Millennium Jazz Orchestra is organizing a new biennial festival celebrating the rich tradition and joy of big bands. You can enjoy professional big bands, youth and amateur big bands, and various music genres, from jazz to pop and Latin.

Schouwburg Odeon will be buzzing with big sounds all day long! Concerts will be held in both halls in the afternoon and evening, and the foyer and café will be a meeting place for the public, professionals, and musicians. DJ Meneer Funkel will transform the foyer into an atmospheric jazz club. The festival is also home to the International Big Band Composition Contest (IBBCC), an international competition for new big band music.
