Make Your Own Jeans Workshop

-
10.30 - 16.00 uur

In this specialized workshop, you will explore all aspects of denim: its historical development, material and technical properties, and its role in sustainability, circularity, and innovation. Guided by our experienced master tailors, you will go through the entire process of making a pair of jeans, from material selection to the careful finishing of the final seams.

Part of the Care & Repair project

This workshop is part of the Care & Repair research project, which focuses on extending the life of clothes: one of the most effective ways to reduce the ecological impact of fashion. We ask you to document your experiences with the jeans during the time, for example in the form of a short diary or a photo summary; the form is up to you.

In October 2026 and 2027, we invite you to bring back your jeans temporarily for a special exhibition. Don’t worry: after the exhibition, you will of course get them back.
