Who are you as a performer/artist?
Described by colleagues as someone with a triangle of humour floating around me like a halo,
someone who is whole like an egg, with an attention to detail and the present. During my education I have worked with choreographers like Eldad Ben Sasson, Keren Levi and Caroline Finn. In my dancing I like to play with rhythm, dynamics and most of all humour.

What are your ambitions?
Next to dancing I am also interested in creating pieces myself and I have had the honour of creating a work on my classmates for the end performance of the education. Currently in the process of creating a a solo performance within the theme of randomness. In the summer I will travel to Israël to create a group piece on 4th-year dance students at the Kibbutzim Dance College in Tel Aviv.
I would love to continue both dancing and creating in many different settings.

Where do you find inspiration?
In the chaos and order of the everyday. In how other people move. In thoughts that pop up in my head, ideas that are born and written down in the middle of the night, the way gravity interfaces with my body, geometry, mathematics, philosophy, randomness.

What did you do at your internship & what did you learn?
I was part of a production by theater/mime company Het Houten Huis, a co-production with Plan-Denk and Club Guy and Roni. Being a dancer in the midst of a big production with actors, mimers, 2 choreographers, a theatre director and a very complicated set design was incredibly interesting. I learned a lot about how these complex processes can evolve and how the different disciplines can work together or against eachother. It was great to experience how well we could work together with such a big group. Also lovely was the extensive touring experience that I was able to get with this production.

But since that sounds dark (though it is not if you think about it), let me add one that also sounds more hopeful :)

Die to everything of yesterday so that your mind is always fresh, always young, innocent, full of vigour and passion.

-Jiddu Krishnamurti
