2174: Future Ruins of an Automated Past: Supermarkets are a day-to-day environment in our everyday life, and we are all consumers. This is a speculative project focusing on how these non-places will change overtime and how consumerism and automation impact these spaces. The action takes place in the year 2174 and shows the future ruins of a post dystopian supermarket, well… whatever there is left of it. There were always signs of automation errors and manipulation from the beginning, but people failed to notice until it had completely taken over our lives. People had to abolish the system in a period of crisis before building an utopic society again.
