Course

Our aim is to educate fashion- and shoe designers within the framework of a research community who from a personal fascination seek out the boundaries of the prevailing fashion discourse and critically interrogate the current mainstream fashion system. By pursuing theoretical and design research our graduates will master an authentic and relevant approach to the fashion field.

The Master of Fashion Design is geared to talented designers who aspire to focus extensively on fashion as an international professional field. This programme starts from a sincere passion for fashion and sets high standards. It will allow you to deepen your understanding of fashion, to refine your handwriting as a designer and to build a strong portfolio. You should have the ambition to develop your creative abilities, to increase theoretical knowledge and to position yourself in the international field of fashion.

Specialisations

The Master of Fashion Design offers two specialisations: Fashion Design and Shoe Design. In addition to courses on design the consists of lectures, excursions, workshops, projects and independent study activities. In the first year, students from both master programmes attend the same theory classes and lectures. Besides the regular programme, students in Shoe Design also learn specific shoemaking skills.
