Fashion Design
Fashion is more than just clothing. We all have to do with fashion on a daily basis. What we are wearing tells something about who we are or how we feel that day. Our clothes accentuate our individuality or rather stress a collective sense of identity. Serving as a mirror of the time in which we live, fashion renders visible all sorts of social trends. Designers provide a genuine contribution to this dynamic.
ArtEZ maintains warm contacts with its alumni. Designers trained at Arnhem are employed in all segments of the fashion branch. Well-known names like Alexander van Slobbe (SO by Alexander van Slobbe and Orson+Bodil), Lucas Ossendrijver (Lanvin Homme), Iris van Herpen, Piet Paris and Li Edelkoort once were students in our fashion department.
ArtEZ stimulates participation in international fashion contests such as Lichting, the Frans Molenaar Couture Award (Netherlands), the French Hyeres and the Italian Mittelmoda Fashion Award. Our students regularly win awards in the field of fashion. ArtEZ also collaborates with large fashion houses and is one of the initiators of the internationally renowned Arnhem Mode Biënnale.

Honours Programme
Two years additional in-depth theoretical training for a select number of students: programme certificate with diploma of completed.
