Dance in Education
Aiming to spark interest in all age groups and areas of society, modern-day dance education increasingly focuses on groups’ needs and the interaction within these groups. The profession of dance teacher is changing in many ways, partly due to the rise of dance programmes in secondaryeducation, youth theatre schools and community art projects, and the growing demand for dance projects by companies and social organisations.
This means that dance teachers must be able to apply their didactic, technical, creative and entrepreneurial skills across a wide range of areas. ArtEZ meets this need through its strong teaching methods and its large network, both in amateur dance and youth theatre schools as well as in primary and secondary
education.
